2026 Honour Roll

Performance Points

Performance points recognize strong results in SPLBC club leagues and championships, as well as selected competitions beyond the club.

Points are weighted to reflect the player’s individual contribution to the result. Singles are worth more than pairs, pairs are worth more than triples, and triples are worth more than fours, because each player has a greater influence on the outcome in smaller-team formats.

New for 2026, performance points will also be awarded for results outside SPLBC. Outdoor interclub tournaments and select leagues, as well as V&D, outdoor Provincial, and outdoor National competitions, now carry performance points. The number of points increases with the level of competition. Mixed, single-gender, and open-gender competitions all carry the same point values. Events with eligibility restrictions, such as Novice Singles, Intermediate Pairs, and Senior Pairs, carry fewer performance points than open championships to reflect the narrower competitive field.

Players who earn performance points are celebrated at the end-of-year awards dinner, and the player with the most points is crowned Bowler of the Year.

For competitions outside SPLBC held between May 1 and September 12, players must submit photo evidence, such as a photo of the final scoreboard, to the Games Leader in order to claim their performance points.

This document shows the 2026 point values for the various sanctioned competitions.
