About the event
We're hosting a Tournament Convenor Training session on Saturday, May 16 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the SPLBC clubhouse. With a busy calendar of club and interclub events this season, we are looking to grow our pool of convenors, and this is a great way to get involved.
A convenor is the person who organizes and oversees a tournament on the day. They coordinate players and volunteers, troubleshoot issues, keep things running smoothly, and act as the main point of contact.
If you have ever been curious about convening, this session will walk you through the basics, build your confidence, and show you how rewarding the role can be. There is no obligation. Come along, learn, and decide if it is for you. There is no cost for this training.
Please RSVP to games@splbc.com so we have a sense of numbers, but it is also fine to just show up on the day.
