Winter Wonderland Christmas Party
Dear Stanley Park Members,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the seventy-five members and friends who attended the Winter Wonderland Christmas party on December 5, 2015.
It was a dark and stormy night, however inside the club house it was festive, bright and beautiful.
The sparkling Christmas tree, brightly lit wreath above the piano, background Christmas music, laughter and well wishes added to the holiday mood. Candles, poinsettias and the fragrance of Christmas boughs of pine and cedar contributed to the merry mood while white tablecloths and beautiful centrepieces rounded off the feeling of Christmas.
We enjoyed a delicious meal of roast turkey, ham, vegetarian lasagna and all the trimmings, followed by Chef Ira’s specialty, Black Forest cake and a wonderful assortment of fresh fruit.
Our in-house band, the dedicated and talented 8 Enders, once again served up a fun-filled playlist of popular dance music along with a sing-along list of Christmas carols and songs.
Each person that visited the photo booth received a photograph and were able to email pictures to their facebook or twitter accounts. Guests were able to have as many pictures taken as they wished and many did! The photo booth attendant commented that Stanley Park party goers were the best he had encountered. Please visit the link below.
I want to thank the team for all their hard work and collaboration over the past two years. Their contribution to Stanley Park Lawn Bowling Club’s social events has been invaluable. Two years ago the Social Committee began as a committee and ended as a team of friends. I am so pleased that Diane Warriner, currently on the Social Committee, will be the new Social Director.
I would like to thank Past President Lynn Kennedy and the Executive for the opportunity to serve as the club’s Social Director.
