Club Info

Club fees:

Annual membership fees are $200. Our season typically runs from early May to mid-to-late-September.

Coaching:

We have a dedicated group of coaches who teach the basics.

If you would like to be one of our coaches for the 2017 season, please see our Coaching Program document by clicking here. This is also useful for new players who want to learn more about the lessons they will be offered at the beginning of the season.

Draws:

Draws are run according to the schedule on the events calendar. We ask people to arrive at least 10 minutes ahead of time in order to give the draw master time to set up the draw.

Equipment:

Bowls are available free to use for first year members; in fact we encourage you to try out club bowls for a year before you buy. After that, we encourage returning bowlers to purchase their own bowls.

Dress:

Dress is casual. Shoes must not have heavy treads or definite heels – they damage the greens. Either “Whites” or club team shirts are worn for tournaments.

Social:

We offer lots of social activities at the SPLBC! A social membership costs $50. Friday evening barbecues, special holiday and Pride events, card games: Bridge on Wednesday afternoons (winter); euchre on Monday afternoons and Thursday evenings (winter). Check both our News and Calendar pages for more details.

Bookings:

Planning a corporate or staff event? Lawn bowling is a great team-building and social activity.

Availability: Monday to Friday, $30 per person (min 20 adults) for two hours bowling. Optional use of clubhouse for two-hour social, $10 per person ($200 minimum). Contact: Lois Goodeve, Visitor Groups coordinator via email at groups@splbc.com
